Alex and Lucas were a riot - both watched about half the movie and then chattered away with each other, inventing games and such while Evan and Ethan stayed entranced....
The next morning Lucas woke up with a high fever and just not feeling well... I took him off to the doc to make sure it wasn't his ears putting up a fuss... It wasn't - just a virus, so he and I cuddled in for the day.... While Ethan and Brian jumped on the ferry, off to Comic Con in Seattle. They were very stinkin' excited.
I got reports throughout the day that he was having a blast....But of course he was - lots of games to play....
Even prizes to be won....
He even did a great job with the two hours they were stuck behind Brian's booth. He helped answer questions and became a very convincing salesman...
After putting their time in, it was back to games - and star wars for the kinect was his absolute favorite.
And apparently no one noticed that he was wearing my sweatshirt instead of his own grey one. Bit of a size difference, I'd say....
They got home late, which of course meant the next day was a bit rough.... Lucas was still super feverish and lethargic, but getting harder to keep down. We all stayed in quarantine for the day. Ethan was such a grump he ended up in his first ever grounding. One of the things he had to do to get out was an apology note. He did very well with it - even a picture of him giving me flowers. I guess Brian has taught him well...
To add to our frustrating day, Duke split his toenail and had to be sent off to the emergency vet. $250 later, he was back home and recovering, looking oh so pathetic....
And speaking of pathetic, Lucas was still pretty sick and had to spend Monday with me as well....
Ethan got to go to Lucas' school for the day, and was happy to do so. They have fun stuff planned all week, and that way I can get caught up in school work and such. We were also waiting patiently for some yard work people that didn't show until 5 pm, and by that time had to reschedule. So frustrating.... By the end of the day Lucas did seem much better, but the farthest we made it out was walking down to the bus stop to meet Daddy.
So our Spring Break started off rough. But I promise it gets better. Slightly anyway...
