We really wanted to get out into our community garden patch... But it was so cold and the soil was still so wet.... So we gave up and went over to the park for a bit....
Lucas stuck to himself, while Ethan befriended every person who came through there...
They did play together a bit- spinning around and around...
We met up with Alex and Kenzie for dinner - and then playing at the mall. The kids really didn't interact much with each other - Alex wasn't feeling well, Ethan was hurting (and taking it out on his brother), and Kenzie was a running away machine - but we had lots of laughs watching them.
Especially since I wasn't the one chasing after Kenzie - poor Dawn!
I had spent the whole morning at my school, so all in all, it was a successful day - friends, fun, and work. I wish all my days could feel so balanced! Oh, and I read another novel. That makes 6 so far.
By the time we got Ethan into bed, he was a mess. After talking with him, we realized that he's pretty angry over all he's had to go through this last month. His arm is painful, but also keeps him from doing a lot of stuff. And he has to be really careful or he hurts people with it. Add to that his ears, and he just is tired of feeling cruddy. We had a good talk, and maybe made some ground as to making him feel better about it, but I definitely resolved that the next day we would do something grand and exciting - enough to make him forget about his woes and just have fun with Lucas and me... And so I started thinking...

6 novels! I remember those days - now I pat myself on the back when I finish a chapter. You are amazing :)
Nah, I just read fast with bad comprehension... The secret is to read trashy novels ;)
